Kendall Mann | Alum

I knew I wanted to give back and support Indiana communities, as they have poured so much into me.

Kendall Mann Alum

Orr Fellow

“I was unsure what my early career would entail, but I knew I wanted to give back and support Indiana communities, as they have poured so much into me. Orr Fellowship provided me the opportunity to launch my career while contributing to growth and service in Indiana.," says Kendall Mann '25. "I heard about Orr Fellows when I was a first-year; a senior I admired on the cross country team was going to enter the program after her graduation. At that point, I mentally filed it away as something interesting.”

is a prestigious two-year, post-graduate program designed to recruit and develop the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs. The program offers a full-time, salaried position with high-growth companies in the Indianapolis and Evansville area, along with extensive professional development opportunities and access to a strong peer and alumni network.

As a senior, Kendall welcomed the process without expectation of an exact outcome. She describes it this way, “The process begins by submitting  a resume and your personal information. Students are then invited to participate in a multi-stage process that includes an interview with someone in the Orr network, attending a networking reception and, finally,  interview day.”

The interview day involves four or five back-to-back interviews with Orr Fellowship partner companies involved in the program. “You go in knowing the company, but not necessarily the position,” says Mann. “A classmate gave me this advice, ‘You know your experience best and you bring that to the table. Take that and apply it to what they’re asking about.’”

The advice paid off. Mann is now an Orr Fellow working in marketing for InPwr, an electrical design-build firm based in Indianapolis. “I believe ÐÓ°ÉPro students are uniquely equipped as applicants for the Orr Fellows Program due to their liberal arts background, campus involvement, and opportunities that ÐÓ°ÉPro provides. I encourage seniors to look into the process and apply!”
